Non-renewable resources cannot be regenerated in a reasonable enough time frame and have a limited quantity as a result. Renewable resources, on the other hand, are regenerated in a shorter time frame and are, practically, limitless in amount.
Two examples of non-renewable resources are coal and petroleum. Solar energy, wind power, and tidal energy are types of renewable resources.
Non-renewable resources are commonly thought to be responsible for global warming, since they generate far more carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases than renewable resources do.
Our grids and networks are designed for non-renewable resources because they have been in use for a long time. Renewable resources of energy have gained more adoption and acceptability in the last few decades but are not yet at a sufficient enough level to entirely replace non-renewable resources.
