$\displaystyle{y}+{2}=-{4}{\left({x}-{0}\right)}$

We are given the value of x , x=-2

So plug in the value of x in the equation,

$\displaystyle{y}+{2}=-{4}{\left(-{2}-{0}\right)}$

$\displaystyle{y}+{2}=-{4}{\left(-{2}\right)}$

$\displaystyle{y}+{2}={8}$

Now solve for y by transposing the constant 2 to the other side,

$\displaystyle{y}={8}-{2}$

$\displaystyle{y}={6}$

So the ordered pair for the equation with the given value of x is (-2,6)
