What is the flashback of the story?

If I'm honest, I don't think "The Sniper" has a true flashback.  The entire story is very much based in the present.  It has a singular focus on the sniper, his situation, and his mission.  A flashback would ruin that feel of the story, because the story's emphasis on the present is what makes the story so exciting and so visceral.

However, there is a single sentence that I believe could be defined as minor flashback information.  The sentence is as follows:

They were deep and thoughtful, the eyes of a man who is used to looking at death.

The sentence describes the sniper's eyes, and it distinctly shows readers that this is not the sniper's first mission.  It is not his first time sitting on a rooftop waiting to kill somebody, and it certainly isn't his first time seeing death and destruction around him.  The quote shows readers a little bit of his past, and that is the extent of the flashback.
