Where were Malcolm X's parents from?

Malcolm X, known as Malcolm Little before he joined the Nation Of Islam, was born on May 19th 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska. His father, Earl Little, was born in Reynolds, Georgia, and was a member of Marcus Garvey’s Universal Negro Improvement Association, and also worked as a Baptist minister. His mother, Earl’s second wife, Louise Little, was born in Grenada, located in the British West Indies. His father Earl died in an accident in 1931 after he was struck by a streetcar. Many in the African American community at the time, however, believed that the death was no accident, and that Earl Little was attacked by white supremacists and then placed on the tracks, where he was later hit, to die. This event contributed to a later mental breakdown of Malcolm’s mother, which forced Malcolm to move around numerous times as a youth after her hospitalization.

Hope this helps!
